Home Tour 29 - First Full Weekend in June
Headlining this year's SCAMP home tour is the majestic Stonewood Farms
estate, an art deco home and sprawling property in Clarkston.
David and Pam Johnson graciously invite guests to see their magnificent
grounds, their stunningly restored and renovated 1930s stone house and
their beautiful horse stables.
Also on the tour are two homes in the nearby Parks of Stonewood
community, a beautiful 1930s home in the Village of Clarkston and a
preview of the 2011 Designer Showcase House, a historic home within
the village.
The tour weekend kicks off Saturday evening, June 4, with the Patrons'
Evening, which includes a tour of all the homes followed by an exclusive
party at Springfield Oaks Activity Center featuring an auction,
dancing, plus beer and wine. Reservations are recommended in advance
for Patrons' Evening: $100 Silver; $150 Gold; $200 Platinum. As opposed
to tickets, guests' names will be on a master reservation list at the event.
Western garb is encouraged for Patrons' Night, but not necessary!
Back by popular demand is the "VIP Experience" for less enthusiastic home tour participants.
Attendees can enjoy drinks and appetizers in a casual atmosphere at Buck Shots on White Lake Road
from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You do not need a reservation for the Home Tour and the Patrons' Night Event to participate
in the VIP Experience. Advance reservations are recommended and it does require a minimum $25 donation to attend.
A Sunday, June 5, reservation includes a tour of the homes and a delicious box lunch, to be served at one of the homes.
Sunday reservations with the box lunch need to be reserved in advance, and are $30. Tickets purchased on the day of the
event do not include a box lunch and will cost $30.
Check-in for both events takes place in downtown Clarkston's Depot Park. For Patrons' Evening, please arrive between
5:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday. Homes will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Check-in for tours on Sunday is 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
with homes open from noon to 5 p.m. Advance reservations for both events must be made by 11 p.m. Wednesday, June 1.
Shuttle service is available to all homes. Due to parking concerns, please do not drive your
personal vehicle to the homes.
